I decided to create this blog so my wife and I can talk about our current adventure. It’s written here as an easy way to share with friends and family, but is of course open to everyone else in the world, too.

On December 1st, 2006, I left my job at Precidia Technologies, a company I had helped form some seven years before. As much as I had enjoyed my experience there, I had an offer that we just couldn’t refuse. It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime things that you’ll forever regret if you don’t do.

I accepted a job with Google in Zurich, Switzerland.

Neither my wife nor I had ever been to Switzerland, but of all the places I could have gone, it seemed the grandest adventure.

If you’re interested in following us on this adventure, then I invite you to subscribe to this blog via an “RSS feed”. In short, you use a “feed reader” like Google Reader to subscribe to various websites that interest you and any updates to those sites are automatically fetched by the reader, sort of like your own custom news reader.

I also want to include a plug for my business site, Riverworth Systems, that you may be interested in. Right now it’s just a collection of some thoughts of mine, but one day I may be able to turn it in to a proper company.
